Educational Services
Are you seeking to expand your Adult Education? You may qualify to receive workforce training through customized enrollment training and services to both the public & private sectors. This program provides non-credit training, custom-designed instruction, consulting skills assessment and educational programs.
Employment Services
Are you between the ages of 16-24 and seeking job skills? You may qualify for this tuition-free training and educational program that connects you with the skills and educational opportunities you need to establish a real career. You can train in high-growth industry sectors such as healthcare, information technology, and advanced manufacturing. In addition to training, you can earn your high school diploma or equivalent with the opportunity to participate in work-based learning experiences. This program is open to income eligible students ages of 16-24.
Financial Services
Are you seeking to properly manage your finances? If you need assistance with financial management with a wide range of financial products and services, from helping to select Individual investments and developing a retirement plan. Contact this company if you would like help to develop strategies for pursuing your financial goals.
Temporary Housing/Emergency Shelter
If you need emergency shelter, it's available for women, men, and children in danger of domestic violence and sexual violence. The James House are part of a state-wide network of accredited shelters, who provides emergency shelter. They embrace the belief that all people deserve a life free from psychological, emotional and physical abuse in the Petersburg, and Prince George areas.

1. Do you assist with only temporary housing? Yes, we refer our clients for temporary housing based upon availability. Please click on the link "Temporary Housing" for more information.
2. Do you only assist widows or widowers? We also assist the single parent who loss a spouse & their children.
3. Do you offer grief counseling? Yes, we offer grief counseling services. Please click on the link "Counseling" for information on grief counseling.
4. When does most events occur? Most events are on Friday evenings or Saturday mornings.
5. Do I have to volunteer for all events? No, you can choose an events that meets your availability and volunteer. Most usually events last about 2-3 hours.

CEO & Founder, Raven Phillips-Lee, is a surviving widow and devoted advocate. After losing her husband tragically to a homicide in 2014, she began telling her story to small groups and organizations in the community. From previous speaking engagements, she has earned several awards such as Parent Volunteer and Most Volunteered Hours.

She is also a devoted mother to her 3 daughters. Therefore, she displays her unwavering dedication and passion to help others by her story, is the driving force behind the W.A.V.E’s Vision and Mission.
